This was Gabby's first year in Dance and the poor thing had to miss both recitals because of family vacations. I kept explaining it to her and she seemed okay with it. But would continue to tell me how excited she was about dancing on the stage and her costume she was going to wear. Her last dance class Grandma and Avery came so we could watch her do her dance. Once they started passing out the costumes she lost it. Oh how I hope nothing falls on them this year. She is a great little dancer and looks so cute in her leotard!

This year the fun run was a little more exciting! Caleb's buddy Drew started to catch him with about 50 feet left and once Caleb looked over his shoulder and noticed he gave it all he had to push it to the finish. The two of them tied! Gavin did pretty good as well and took 5th in the 1st grade!

We had to snap one more photo of Caleb before we chopped his hair. I personally liked it and didn't want to see it go but Dad was putting the pressure on him to cut it. I'm sure will see a comeback sooner or later!

Gabby was so lucky this year and got to take preschool from her Grandma Campbell. What was even better is her cousin Rakell was in her class too. Gabby was an excellent student. She really enjoys going and is very proud of her work. Miss Gabby wants to save every paper and once realized I wasn't she started her own filing system in her bedroom. She too is just starting to read and wants to as often as I will with her.

Gavin's 7th Birthday Party

This year for Gav's Birthday all he wanted was to have a sports party. He wanted to play kickball, flag football, steel the flag, you know a sports party. So that's just what we had. It was a lot of fun! Gavin is a great kid! He is doing really well in school. He loves video games, sports and legos. Sounds like every seven year old boy! Gavin is also very sweet. He is very affectionate at least once a day he will come and give Danny and I a big hug and say "Love you Mom." Gavin's best friend is his big brother Caleb.

Paw Power 5k

This year for the kids school fundraiser we put on a 5k. I helped on the committee and was excited to run with the boys. The morning of the race we awoke to several inches of snow. We were a little nervous people weren't going to show, but it was a great turnout and a lot of fun. Gavin ran the 11/2 and did great! He took first in his age category. Caleb did the 5k. Mom had to push him a little it was farther than he thought it was. He did awesome as well! He averaged 10:30 a mile. I was very proud of both of my boys and can't wait to do another with them.

Easter Sunday

Our cousin Sage has a ton of bunnies and brought some up Easter Sunday for the kids to play with. The kids were having so much fun. Chloe and Gavin especially. Little Mia was afraid and ran when every time one was brought over.

We had a wonderful time at Grammy and Gramdpa Campbell's Easter BBQ! They had a huge easter egg hunt, the kids had to empty their baskets so they could fit more. Aunt Deanna spruced things up by filling a bunch with money. Which really made things exciting. Then we all colored eggs. It was a perfect day. It's always so much fun spending time with cousins.

We finally made it! It's been a couple years in the making, and a lot of hard work. April 18th finally came. This last month was really hard usually the closer it gets the more excited I am and training becomes easier. Not so much this time! But I put in the time and I was ready. For both the marathon and a vacation! Danny and I flew out four days before the race so we could experience Boston. It was a blast! We enjoyed cannoli's at Mike's Pastry. A great game in Fenway Park. Laughed our heads off at a comedy club. Even enjoyed a movie. Isn't the work supposed to come before play? The city was filled with track jackets. Everywhere you looked you saw something relating to the marathon. It was pretty cool. Felt cool to be a part of such a big event. Danny treated me like a rockstar! We went shopping and he spoiled me rotten, he insisted on carrying everything for me. The night before the race he gave me a massage. Wish it would have helped me sleep... At 5:30 the alarm went off and it was time to get ready. I met up with some gals to chill with until the race started. We actually didn't have too much downtime. We met at the park to board the buses and there was a line in every direction of people trying to load a bus. It was crazy! The athletes village was filled with excitement. Music, port-a-potties, and people everywhere! By the time we striped and headed to our gate we barely made it in time to hear the gun go off. Everything was so smooth. I can't believe how huge this event is and how well organized they are. I was pumped, the whole race was exciting. Spectators covered 80% of the course offering the runners everything from beer to a kiss! Unusual, yes! My race went well until about mile 23 then my quads felt like they were going to blow up. I pushed through and before I knew it, it was over. It was absolutely amazing I'm so grateful I was able to fly back and take part of this experience.

This year the whole family had a pass to Sundance. We had some great ski trips we're sad it's over. The boys are doing really well, feeling pretty confident on their skis now. Gavin even attemped a couple of jumps today. It was pretty cute. They had the most fun skiing with their buddies. They found some fun tree runs and would race each other down the mountain. Gavin and Drew have a never ending game of tag that they played while on the mountain. The ended the day with a snow ball fight. All their faces were bright red. I think I've got them convinced that skiing rocks!!! Can't wait for next year!

Pinewood Derby

This was Caleb's second year racing. Dad helped him build a real sleek car. Luckily I did not have to participate at all this year. Caleb took second overall. He lost to his buddy Dustin again! Maybe next year they'll be able to take him down. Gavin also built a car and raced it. He was up against a Dad with a fan on his car! It screamed down the track.

We just bought the coolest kite! We only had to throw it in the air once to watch it start flying, and we can still use it again. We were anxious to get out of the house and enjoy spring but after about an hour we were frozen its just not warm enough.

Chloe was so excited to see the Grinch show up at our Christmas party. We have an incredible committee. The decorations were phenomenal. We ate pink, purple, and green pancakes with yellow whip cream and yummy casserole. Gabby won for cutest costume.

Christmas Morning

Chloe was really cute. She had Christmas all figured out. When we went to see Santa Claus this year she told me "Mom I love Santa Claus I'm going to give him a big hug." And that she did. Even after they had taken their picture and been given a treat she still sat there chatting his ear off. Christmas morning she opened her presents very slowly and played with them before she moved on to the next. This year the boys were flooded with more Utah Ute garbage. Slippers, blankets, and Ties. Caleb is a Doritos guy, I thought it was pretty cute to find a bag of Doritos on his Christmas list. The girls have had so much fun in there princess cruiser, I love listening to them giggle as they drive by. It does make me nervous that my little Chloe is going to get bucked out of it. We had a really nice Christmas this year filled with lots of fun, family, food, and gifts! We are so grateful for the numerous blessings we have received over the year. Our family is happy and healthy, It couldn't possibly get much better than it is now.

This year for Christmas the boys asked for Ski Passes. Mom and Dad may have had a little influence. We had a trip to Park City planned the week before Christmas so we told the boys to write Santa and see if there is any way they could get it early. Lucky for them Santa came threw. As the boys left for school they found a beautifully wrapped gift on the front porch with their ski passes inside.

The kids were so excited, even Chloe she couldn't wait to get in her snow clothes and go sledding. They were all troopers and stayed out there for hours over the next several days. You can tell by our snowmen we did a lousy job with the leaves this year. They just wouldn't stop falling. Ugh!

We had a great time with our costumes this year! Gavin's totally rocked! Trick or Treating was kind of a bust this year. It was very cold and rainy. The kids didn't stay out long but had a good time and we met up at Grandma and Grandpa's later that evening to eat, play games and laugh at one another.

Flag Football

This was Gavin's first year of Flag football. He had a blast, he had a lot of his good friends on his team. Caleb too thoroughly enjoyed himself. The older boys are catching the ball much better so they're throwing down a lot more plays. The last game of the season Caleb threw a 15 yard pass to Cade in the end-zone for a touch down. It was a perfect pass, really fun to see. They keep getting more and more exciting. It's so fun having little boys.

Washington D.C.

Danny and I just celebrated our eleventh anniversary in D.C. We both love to explore big cities. We walked and walked and walked. There is so much to see. One morning while we were out running we were coming up upon the Natural Life Smithsonian and a motorcade came rolling up honking and yelling at those who had pulled over to the right because that is where they were planning to park. Out pops a handful of school kids in a museum covered by several men with machine guns. It was President Obama's daughter, and some class mates. Interesting where was the big yellow bus! The night we went to see the White house they were preparing for the president to leave, they had a helicopter circling for about 2 hours. Guards and police men everywhere clearing the streets and parks that surround the premises. It was crazy to see the extremes they have to go to to protect our President and his family. Everywhere you go is beautiful. My favorite part of the trip was visiting Arlington National Cemetery. Very impressive and humbling. We live in a great country. We were also able to visit the Senate while they were in session. It was really neat to be among all these men and know one could be our next president. It was a great trip. We left with a greater feeling of pride for our country. But most of all it was fun to be there with my Danny. I love him so much and I'm so grateful for such a wonderful husband. He is my best friend.

Caleb's 9th Birthday

Our big guy just turned 9! Wow how time flies! Caleb is a very responsible young man. Caleb is really into sports right now this year he played baseball, soccer, and football. Loved each and every one. One of his favorite things to do is watch football with his Dad. Danny was just saying I can't believe my nine year old knows just as much about football as I do. He is obsessed! It's cute though we get a kick out of it. We are very proud of Caleb he is a great little guy and a lot of fun to be around.

Gabby's BIG 5

It sure felt big. We had a little surprise party for her in Lake Powell. She didn't want to go because it was over her birthday so we had to be sure to acknowledge her big day we brought a very big cake that had to be refrigerated. What was I thinking! When we got home I took her to go get her ears pierced. She was so excited, and very brave. We then had a party for her at Jump on It, with all of her friends. It's been one week and she has already started thinking of plans for next year. I think we've created a monster. Gabby is a very good and fun loving girl. She loves to play with her little sister and friends. She's really into barbies and polly pockets right now. She can play in her bedroom for hours by herself, it's pretty cute. We just signed her up for dance and gymnastics and she is having a blast! I can't believe how big she's getting.

Lake Powell

We had another great trip to Powell. This was the first trip on our new houseboat! We were joined by the Hopkins, Bennett, and Spindler families. Oh and Annie we bribed her. We built some awesome sand castles. Unfortunately the weather wasn't the best so we spent a little more time on the beach instead of the water but still a great trip. We brought Chloe along, she was fun but wouldn't eat a thing but junk food. She knew it got set out after breakfast so she always held out. Needless to say she was a little crankier than usual. The boys skied a lot and Caleb really got into wakeboarding. And Danny got to spend a night under the stars just had he hoped he would.

Boys 1st Day of School

Caleb is going into 3rd grade his teacher is Mrs. Fiorucci. Gavin will be in 1st grade and his teacher is Mrs. Mac. They are both super excited. Don't they look cute? After the first week Gavin said "Mom 1st grade is long." He was pretty exhausted, but handling it okay now.

Bear Lake

We took our first trip to Bear Lake this summer as a family! Turned out to be quite an adventure! A terrible storm came in and Danny got caught in it out on the lake. It was a scary couple of hours. We need a different cell phone plan! We met up with some friends that happened to be professional campers. I thought we had a good set up! We had a blast playing sand Volleyball. It is such a beautiful lake. While we were up there they were celebrating Raspberry Days so we enjoyed the Markets, Parades and Entertainment. Hopefully we wont wait ten years to make it back up there.

Chloe's TWO

Our little girl is officially in her terrible two's! She's always keeping us on our toes. Chloe loves to tag along with her big brothers and sister and thinks she is just as old as they are. She loves to watch Kai Lan. Loves yogurt and granola bars and loves to be with Mom. She is a Mamas girl all the way. She is a great little girl, we love her tons and we are so grateful she is part of our family!

Spudman Triathlon

Danny and I just raced the best race! We competed in the Spudman Triathlon. We threw it into our race schedule this year, but didn't train nearly as hard as we wanted to. Utah Valley kind of took it out of us. But we worked hard learning to swim and logging some miles on our bike and by the time it finally came we found our new passion. It was so fun! We razzed one another weeks going into it on who would beat who. The prize goes to Danny. He beat me by like 40 seconds! Since then we have both bought bikes and can't wait to compete in another.

Joe's Valley

Gavin's 6th Birthday

With Dad being a firefighter we had to use our resources. We had an awesome time! Danny and the guys pulled the trucks out and let all the kids spray one another with the fire hoses. They also shot water from the top of the ladder. Even I had to try, and boy are those things powerful! We took the kids on a tour of the station. Had an obstacle course and topped the fun off with a pinata loaded with candy. Happy Birthday Gavin!

Utah Valley Marathon

Danny and I just ran the Utah Valley Marathon. We both had a great race! This was our first marathon together. The most exciting part was I qualified for the Boston Marathon! We were a little nervous going in, we had been vacationing in Lake Powell the week before so we didn't get those last few runs in and the weather forecast didn't look so hot. It did rain on us for about ten miles but it wasn't bad. It has been so much fun doing this with Danny! Now it's time to get back to work we've got a few more races on the schedule. Having a good race makes all those training runs worth it.

We just had the most unbelievable trip to Lake Powell! Good friends, good food, good times! We played so hard. All of our kids knee boarded which was a first for Gabby. They tubed like crazy! Jumped on the tramp, played baseball, swam, surfed, played with remote control boats, slid down the slide, jumped off the back of the house boat, rode on the jet ski, watched movies, played on the sand hill, wake boarded, skied the course, have I mentioned yet it was unbelievable! We had a blast! I just didn't want to go to bed at night. We made smores, had slushies, ate ice cream every night, Mark made some fabulous cobbler. We ate, then ate some more. The food was awesome! The company was probably the best! We really enjoyed the time we spent with our family and friends. We can't wait to go again.

Caleb has been playing baseball this spring with some of his buddies on the White Sox. He has a great coach and a good team. He is loving every minute. He is learning so much and improving every week. We have really enjoyed supporting him. It's fun to see how competitive they can be at such an early age. They all have to chomp on big league chew during every game. It must help they're doing well.

Wait a minute is school really out?

I can't believe school is really out. But what a great week to end the school year! It first started with our little Gabby's preschool program. Which was so stinkin' cute. Gavin graduated Kindergarten! He had the biggest smile on his face throughout the entire program. The boys then got to participate in the fun run, Gavin took 4th and Caleb took 7th. They both did great and had a lot of fun. This is a highly anticipated race in our house. The last day of school we got together as neighbors and had barbecue and rented a huge 18' slide for the kids to play on. I think the only time they got off of it was to eat or use the restroom. They had a blast! We have great neighbors. We can't wait to start our summer vacation! However I do keep asking the kids "Don't you have somewhere to be today?" They're always around!

Spring Break

Danny and I decided to make a quick trip to California for Spring Break. We went to Lego Land for the first time. Perfect for the younger crowd. Fascinating what people can build out of Legos. That night we met up with some family at the Beach. The boys had an absolute blast. Gabby and I were sitting up on some rocks enjoying the sunset and watching the boys play when a huge wave came in and soaked us. So we all decided to join the boys by jumping and playing in the ocean. The next day we woke up early and headed to Disneyland. Which was extremely crowded. We fought our way through the crowds and had a great day. Man I love this place. The day we got home a felt as if I was in a daze all day. I think it may have been a little to much stimulant for 2 days.

Easter Weekend

We had so much fun at Grandma and Grandpa's Easter weekend. Grandma had all sorts of activities planned for the kids. They colored eggs, decorated cupcakes, went for a hike, roasted hot dogs, and finished up with an easter egg hunt. It was a blast! Grandma sure knows how to throw a party. Chloe followed the others and looked for eggs until she realized they were filled with candy. All she cared about was the candy. Once hers was gone she would yell at the others to give her more. We all had way to much sugar this weekend. Danny had to work the next morning. The kids woke up early to no baskets. The Easter Bunny had hid them as well. The kids really got a kick out of this. I really enjoyed the laid back day. It was nice to cuddle up on the couch and watch conference and eat easter candy. I love conference weekend and the sense of renewal you feel. Hearing our prophets and apostles speak sure makes you want to be a better person. I'm so grateful to be a member of the church, and for opportunities like these. I love my family!

Danny and I just got back from St. George with the kids. We ran a race at Sand Hollow. It was beautiful, we had a lot of fun. Danny killed it. I was expecting him to take it easy and he came in 4 minutes after me. I guess it's time for me to step up my game. I told him he is not supposed to beat me, just let me have this. You rock at everything else. We did a lot of swimming as well. It's nice to get away for the weekend. It sure gets me excited for spring.

Funniest thing happened this week. Caleb and I are in the kitchen eating and he says hey Mom guess who is coming to visit the second grade tomorrow? Harvey Unga. How cool will you do me a favor? I have his jersey I want you to take it to school and have him sign it for me. I was expecting a reaction but not quite this bad. He flipped. Why would I want to talk to the worst person in the world? I am not doing it! I probably wont even see him. Oh and yes there was tears. I told him to do it for me because he loves me and he wants to make me happy. I said I buy you Utah stuff because I love you, do you know how embarrassing that is for me. This went on for awhile. I even rolled out the video camera I thought it was so hysterical. So when Caleb got ready for school the next morning he put on all his Ute clothing he could find, hat, shirt, sweatshirt. So there would be no mistaking who his team was. Danny and I were shocked when he brought home Unga's jersey signed. This little guy is a character. He would be so embarrassed if he knew I was posting this so please don't mention it to him. But is was just to funny I had to share.

I have been cleaning all day washing mirrors, laundry, dusting, vacuuming. It seems as if it never ended. As I'm in the bathroom helping Gabby brush her teeth I tell her okay Gabby spit into the sink. She tilts her head back and plah, my mirror is covered in toothpaste. Seriously!! I put off my run till tonight to get a head start. I have tonz of projects I'd like to start working on and yet I put them off to clean. When will I learn? I guess it's just part of being a mother.

Pinewood Derby

Caleb just participated in his first Pinewood Derby. He had an absolute blast! I can't tell you how happy I am that his car did okay. Every time I touched the darn thing I screwed something up. Danny asked if I would have him paint it while he was at work and somehow the red paint we used looked pink. Caleb was okay with it however later we had to fix the U we drew on the hood and grabbed a different red so now his car looked pink and red. Danny fixed it the best he could. Then the boys took it over to be weighed and came home with the perfect weight. But, the super glue used added an ounce. So while I was over there I said "Lets just drill a hole in the bottom." Seven holes later it still weighed 5.1. I finally popped a weight off and we were good to go. I was so nervous his car was going to STINK. I felt bad about what I had done. I made sure to have a talk with Caleb about winning and losing just to make sure he knew this was a fun project he was able to do with his Dad and it's okay either way. We also warned him about the "U" he painted on the hood. The chance of losing now was even greater. His car came in second he was stoked! Next year I am staying 15 feet away.

I finally got to share my favorite past time with the kids this week. I've been wanting to start them since Caleb was three. Timing was finally right. Danny and I took the boys up on monday planning on a long day on the slopes the first run down He worked with Gavin and I took Caleb. Second run we switched. Third we sat back and watched. They came flying by us yelling this is awesome!!! I was so impressed. Don't get me wrong there is still a lot of teaching that needs to be had. But they were fearless and excited to learn. I am such a proud Mama! I hope they continue to enjoy it and really want to progress. They talked about it all week so Gabby really wanted to go. Friday just her and I went up. The day was a much slower pace yet she too was fearless she'd point her skis down and know that if she got going to fast I'd catch her. The giggling was non stop. She is so cute. She sure brings a lot of joy into our life. I can't wait to take them again.

sNow StorM

I spent a half an hour to dress the kids an hour to fill the tires on the rhino find the right tube and get it pumped up and about 2 minutes to pop it. We still had a blast! I love the snow! SO grateful for big snow storms, I just wish the plowers would stay away a little longer. I dressed Chloe up like a marshmallow and let her go out and play in the snow. She was smiling and having a good time yet every time I asked her if she liked the snow she shook her head and told me no.

We have had a wonderful Christmas Break. It's been fun having no schedule. Danny and I took the kids Ice Skating. Something I highly suggest, especially if you're in the mood for a good laugh. The kids legs move like jello! Gabby giggled the entire time. She asked me "Mom sometimes can we come ice skating everyday." She was so fun to watch she felt so confident behind that walker. So did Gavin so he decided to share it with a cousin after falling several times realized he's not quite good enough with out it. This is what all the tears are about. It has been a wonderful year and this was a great week to send us into 2010. We are excited for the memories that await us.

Christmas Break

We spent Christmas Eve this year at the Campbell's. Grandma gave all the girls a doll and we thought it would be so fun to take a picture of all the girls with their new doll. Chloe wasn't a big fan of this. Are you surprised? Danny cooked a prime rib on Christmas Eve for the first time and it was fabulous! I love Christmas! I was so excited Christmas Eve I couldn't sleep. My kids on the other hand asked to only hear one book so they could get to sleep early. Christmas morning was a lot of fun I love watching the kids faces. Little Chloe wasn't sure what was going on she kept walking in circles trying to get a grasp on what was happening. She was so excited about all the babies and barbies, as was Gabby. Caleb got a rip rider 360 and boy are these fun! It's a little squishy but I can still ride it! Our favorite toy of Gavin's would have to be his automatic tommy gun. We line up all of Gabby's princesses and then take turn's picking them off. We also got some fun new games. Which makes for a lot of laughs. We've had a great Christmas!

What is with girls and the bathroom?

My girls love to play in the bathroom. It is very common for us to have toilet paper rolled out throughout the house. Hair ties all over the bathroom floor and lipstick well where it ends up in the house is always a mystery. Today I was looking all over for Gabby then I noticed the light on in the bathroom so I opened the door and she was standing in the closet on a stool and looks at me with a bright red face and says "Mom, I'm not touching anyfing." Yet the closet seemed to be very disorganized and it smelled as if she sprayed herself with the bottle of perfume about 50 times. What is the fascination? Maybe they think it's gotta be cool stuff Mom's in here a lot.

I really wanted to make a gingerbread house with the kids. I thought I'll make my own gingerbread and let the kids each decorate their own. The more I thought about it the more I realized I'd be better off buying a kit at the grocery store. It was great! Very simple, and the kids had a blast. It looks so yummy!

Gabby was so nervous to sit on Santa's lap, her face typically looks a lot like Chloe's but she did it. We were so proud of her, this was very hard for her the whole time in line she told me she wasn't going to. Chloe in the other hand I kept asking her if she wanted to and she'd answer yes every time. I guess she didn't know what I was talking about.

Campbell Christmas Party at the Cabin

We had a great time at the Cabin this weekend with our cousins. The kids rode four wheelers, shot bb guns and decorated an enormous Christmas tree Grandpa cut down for us. The Cabin will remember this weekend for a long time the floor was covered in glitter. Not from the kids but Aunt Mandy thought it would be fun to cover others in it. Chloe had a rough night and almost sent us home early but I couldn't find my keys so I spent half the night driving around in the mountains in Deanna's car. KIDS!!! We still had a lot of laughs. The girls played a ton of Catch Phrase and the boys got to go Werewolf hunting one evening with Grandpa and their uncles. Coyote hunting but Gavin called it werewolf hunting. It's always fun to get a way for the weekend.

Thanksgiving

Chloe woke up too early and crashed on Grandma's bed right before it was time to eat. As soon as dinner was done it was time to browse the Black Friday Ads and decide on our battle plan. I love everything about Thanksgiving. I am so grateful we live so close to family and we are able to spend this time together. I love my family so much I'm proud of my little guys. They bring so much joy into our home, and a lot of laughter!

We thought it would be fun to run a Turkey Trot this year so we bundled up and headed to the park. We had been having problems with our stroller but thought they'd be fine and once the two little ones were loaded up and the race was ready to start the left tire was flat. Danny was a good sport and stayed with them while I ran the 5k. Then Gabby, Gavin, and Caleb ran the 800 meter. They all did really good. Gabby and Gavin both took first in their division. It was a lot of fun freezing but a lot of fun. The kids loved it. They're always up for a little competition.

Family Funny

The kids and I just got done baking cookies and I said after FHE we are going to take some over to Grandma's. Gavin asked how many, all of them? I said no just a plate. He then says Mom how come every time you make cookies you have to bring some to Grandma? Caleb pipes in and says Gavin it's cause Grandma and Grandpa are in their 50's so it's hard for them to do it. Kind of like washing dishes. It makes their back hurt and it will start cracking. Besides Gav it's just nice to share cookies with others.

Gabby's Pony Fair

Gabby's aunts and Grandma's helped us throw a Ponyville Fair for Gabrielle's 4th birthday. It was so much fun! We had face painting, pin the tail on the pony, bean bag toss, duck pond, ring toss, and more! She had a good time with all her cute little friends. Gabby is growing up fast she is a big helper at home, especially with little sister Chloe. She loves the praise when she's done something good. Gabby loves to bake. Whatever I'm doing in the kitchen she's in there helping. Gabby is a happy girl and keeps us all smiling with her fun personality, and darling giggles.

Caleb's Rockin' 8th Birthday

WoW! Eight! Caleb and his friends rocked out for his birthday. They played rock band, had air guitar contests, limbo. It was awesome! We even had a disco ball for some dancing out back. I probably should of got an okay from their parents with the spray paint and tatoo's. But the kids loved it! Hit song was Eye of a Tiger. They all loved to play along to this one so they did, over and over. Rock on Caleb what a party!

10 Years!!!

Danny and I just celebrated our 10 year anniversary. WOW! Ten fantastic years! Danny is such a great husband, father and friend. How did I get so lucky? I am so grateful for him and the wonderful guy he has become. I hope the next ten our just as grand! We celebrated in Chicago, we shopped, visited Navy Pier, went to a White Sox game, ran along the lake front. We had a blast!!

Fall

This fall Danny took the boys to Lake Powell and I took the girls to California. We both had a blast the boys (Danny) skied like crazy. The little guys fished and spent hours digging tunnels on the beach.

The girls and I spent a day at Disneyland and a few days at the beach. I had so much fun watching the girls play in the ocean. Gabby kept saying "Mom the waves awe chasing me." She came walking out of the ocean once with a huge bunch of seaweed. I asked her what it was, she told me "just a bunch of gabage." Chloe was sitting on the edge of the water and started crawling away every time she noticed a huge wave coming. It must have been the salt water that was bothering her.

Didn't they look so cute!

We had a great Halloween the kids had a blast working on their pumpkins. Caleb did his all by himself and his was the hardest. He was a little frustrated because it was taking a lot longer to finish his but was so proud of himself once he finished.

We were all home very sick some with the H1N1 the week of Halloween so the kids had to miss out on the fun Halloween parties so we were so grateful everyone felt good by the weekend and we're able to celebrate the holiday.

I had just bathed Chloe and ran down stairs to get the boys laundry and didn't see her anywhere. I asked Gabby where did Chloe go? She replied she's upstairs eating licorice. I knew right then I was in trouble. I peeked around the corner and there she was eating licorice and was as happy as she could be. She was red from head to toe. Probably because she was eating about 5 pieces at once.

Lake Powell

My boys are weird instead of skiing or riding the knee board they prefer to hang there or better yet just get dragged.

The funniest thing happened while we were there. We had just got back from a ride in the boat and Gavin was just a sucking on his finger, I kept asking him to quit but he wouldn’t listen so I told if you don’t stop I’m going to throw you in the lake. Mind you they had been jumping in all day the water was about 76 degrees. But He didn’t stop, so I picked him up and tossed him in. He was shocked. I guess he didn’t think I had it in me. He sat in the water and did not move a muscle with an extremely upset look on his face. He said Mom your so stupid you idiot, you freakin’ idiot. Then he’d wait a few seconds and repeat himself. It was hilarious. I can’t help it. I love to tease my kids. Danny is always getting after me for it but it is so much fun.

I love April Fools Day when you have a first grader. Caleb was so excited for this day to come. He checked out joke books the entire month of March. Which might I add made for a long month. So I had a little fun with him once he got home from school. Note to self If your going to play a trick on somebody by putting a rubber band around the sprayer in the kitchen make sure your close by to shut it off. Caleb was drenched but so was my kitchen. It was worth it I laughed so hard. Just when he thought he had figured me out and he wasn't going to fall for anything else I'd hit him again. What a good day.

We are so grateful for this time of year and for the spirit of Christ that is all around. We have had so much fun spending time with our families this past week. We are grateful we live so close. We love and appreciate each of you. We hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas!

We could not believe Santa brought Caleb a Utah sweatshirt! I think this may have been his favorite present. He has worn it the last three days and loves to tell everyone in the family that BYU is losers. I think it's all about the reactions he gets from everyone, thats what makes him a Utah fan.

Although she was half asleep, she really enjoyed opening presents. This is how she looked all morning.

Chloe just loves her Minnie Mouse Santa gave her! Minnie's nose is so fun to suck on.

The boys were so cute diving into to all their gifts. Caleb said "I know Santa is real because we are not that rich."

Christmas Eve

We had a very fun and busy evening, we had just finished dinner with the Campbells when a surprise visitor stopped by. The kids were so excited. He shocked Grandma! Danny shared the Nativity story with everyone. Then we headed over to the Gallagher's to enjoy a little more food, play with more cousins and enjoy in more stories. We finished off the night opening our Christmas pajamas and leaving a plate of cookies and milk for Santa.

Temple Square

Once again we thought it would be fun to take the kids up to temple square to see the lights. Fun, not so much! An adventure? Yes! Everyone else thought that last night was the night to go see the lights. We drove around temple square for about 45 minutes before we found a parking spot. In the square there was so many people you were standing in lines to walk. It was crazy but I did see a smile on everyone's face. The lights and nativity were spectacular yet next year I think we may just pull out the pictures and call it good.

Lake Powell

This year we did something different for Thanksgiving. We took the kids to Lake Powell and had turkey on a houseboat with some friends of ours, the Newmans and the Asbells. Everyone told us we were crazy but we did it anyway, and it was a blast! The water was glass all day. There was no one down there as you can imagine so we got our pick of the best beaches. The Newmans were great they had wet suits and dry suits for everyone. We skied like crazy, had fun playing in the sand, and stuffed our faces. But nothing topped the nightly games. It's funny to see how competitive we can get over a board game. Looks like this is going to become a tradition.

Well it's not even Thanksgiving but yep I've got the tree up and most of my Christmas shopping done. I just get too excited. This year I wised up, just as I was getting the tree up Caleb and three of his friends came walking in. When I first asked if they'd help they all shut me down. However there is nothing a little ice cream can't buy. We had it up in less than an hour. I'm usually not this crazy, we are going to Lake Powell next week and thought it would be nice to come home and have it all done. But I am very excited, my kids are at such fun ages.

My Happy Birthday

Yeah! My wonderful husband bought me an isqueeze foot massager for my birthday. It is fabulous!!! My boys and I tried these out this spring and have been asking for one ever since. Any time Caleb saw me get money out of the bank or an exchange of money he'd ask "Hey Mom, do you have enough to buy the foot massager now?"

I had a wonderful weekend Danny gave this to me early along with the ultimate bucket from cold stone. Yesterday my Aunt, Mom and sisters went to lunch and then saw The Secret Life of Bees. It was really good, but I cried through the entire thing. I looked over to see if everyone else was but nope, just me. What a baby!
